I am not a domesticated raccoon

Did you know that a lot of people started trying to domesticate raccoons? Yeah it’s a thing! They were so cute and fuzzy. They would learn new things, play with the family dog, and pick up their little food with there tiny little hands, and nibble on it, it was adorable. Who wouldn’t want a reccoon pet? There was this one little draw back. These adorable little trash pandas had a ticking biological clock. It could be weeks or it could be years but once there time was up there was no turning back. These cute family friendly fuzz balls would snap and could no longer hold back their need to be wild. They would forget all the cool tricks you taught them, they would freak out if you picked them up, they would scratch and claw and attack anything that was once a loving family. They couldn’t be contained and unless you wanted a destroyed house you had to let them go. They were like a cute ticking time bomb. Once they wanted to go outside there was no going back. That’s what happened to me in the year 2020. I finally snapped and I could not be contained. They tried but I was like the cool aid man, the second I could I would go to the great outdoors. I had an unquenchable thirst for adventure and exploration. I was no longer content to stay within the four walls I knew as home, or work, or whatever four letter word you want to use. I got the travel bug. It sunk its teeth into me and I was now a rambler. A wander. An adventurer. I wanted to see every mountain top, every forest, every biome, and every water fall. I realized a big truth about the world. My God created it! He designed it to be wild, dangerous, and mysterious. He invites us to take hold of it and to rule over it. Getting to know the created allowed me to understand deeper who the creator was. These are just a few of the ideas I have discovered and just a few things I am now trying to see. So I also want to invite you. Do you want to get outside and explore? Do you want to see the sunrise on a glorious mountain top? Do you want to see new places and step into a world our busy lives breeze by without giving it a second thought? I challenge you to adventure. I am not a domesticated raccoon and you don’t have to be either! So join me as we adventure together.
